The colour touch, can i pull up a browser page? If so then i assume that i can run other browser based software from the touch screen?

The Colour C-Touch has the ability to display HTML pages. To do this you place a HTML component on your page and specify it's properties.

Regarding "Browser based software", that's probably unlikely. The HTML component doesn't have the ability to run flash or java, so any browser-based application would have to be straight HTML.

An HTML Component (http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/components.htm) consists of a border (http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/border.htm) and an HTML (web) page. HTML Components are not available in Black and White C-Touch projects.

The HTML Component can be used to show any HTML page, including :
· pages on the hard disk (for example, instructions)
· web pages (for example, a weather forecast)
· video camera (web cam) images
· web based control panels

The properties which can be selected for an HTML Component are :

· URL (http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/htmlproperties.htm) (web address)

Notes

The HTML Component is unique in several respects :
· The user can only click on the Border (http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/border.htm) to Select (http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/componentselection.htm) or Manipulate (http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/componentmanipulation.htm) it
· The Background (http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/background.htm) is not drawn by the PICED software, but by the operating system and is always on top of the Drawing Order (http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/ms-its:FAQ.chm::/drawingorder.htm)
· Some Keyboard Shortcuts (http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/keyboardshortcuts.htm) will not work if the mouse is over the HTML component

Note that if an Internet page is to be displayed, the computer running PICED needs to have an Internet connection. It is recommended that a firewall and virus scanner are used for security.
