View Full Version : How can I force a 'Status Report' message from Comfort?

I have Comfort connected to my system via a UCM/Cbus. Is there a way I can issue a command via HomeGate that can request a Zone Status 1 or 2 update response?

From the documentation I read I need to send a command $09 with argumant $A0 or $A1 to Comfort which will in turn respond with a Status 1 response. Is this possible from HomeGate?

I am trying to find out if there is any way I can update the zone status on HomeGate? If you start HomeGate and you have multiple open zones on Comfort already, not all of them are updated on HomeGate. Realtime updates from that point forward works fine.

Thanks,
Ingo

It turns out that this is not currently possible. I am not sure how this was missed. It is now in our system as #17639.

Thanks Darren, I'll keep an eye on the 'bugs fixed section' in future releases.

This update is in the new V4.7.1 release.

Darren, I am unsure how to request a Status 1 and Status 2 update using v4.7.1. Can I use a button to assign a function to or some logic to generate the required messages? Please point me in the right direction.

Hi Ingo,

Place a button on a page and set it special function to 'security status request'.

Matty,

Great - It works like a charm. Silly me tried to find it in PICED instead of HomeGate.

One final question, can I now use logic to do a Status Request once HomeGate starts just to sync all the zones?

This special function is not able to be set by logic :(

This will be fixed in the next release (which might be some time away yet).
