A Few Questions Regarding IR Remotes

1) 5034TX 4 Channel Bank A
Can it be set to Bank B,C,D ?? (is there a little switch inside ??)

2) 5034TX12 12 Channel Banks A,B,C
Can it be set to Bank B,C,D,E,F ?? (is there a little switch inside ??)

3)Neo 5038TX 8 Channel Banks A,B
a) I assume these are the same as codes as the 5024TX12 Banks A and B ??
b) Can it be set to Bank CD ?? (is there a little switch inside ??)

4) Black And White Touch Screen Remote (8 Key) uses ??
Is this Banks A and B or a total new set of of codes ??

5) Scene Master 5035TX is this the same remote as the Touch Sceen remote ?? Same codes..

6) In old software the multisensor could be set to banks AB,CD,EF,GH
What remotes produces D,E,F,G,H codes if the above dont have a little switch inside to change starting bank.

7) I have noticed that the new 1.1 Tool kit that the multi sensor has lost the EF,GH bank options. Is this a bug or did it not work in old version or are there no remotes that can generate these codes.

I am trying to workout which remote to buy that will allow me to then use this remote to learn Banks B,C,D,E,F,G

Using Microsofts Take Control Remote. Requires another remote to learn the functions.

I know CIS use the NEC protocol are the codes banks A,B,C,D,E,F,E,G the same as any known NEC piece of equipment ??

This remote has a huge list of NEC gear that it know the codes for.

is button 1 bank A the same as for example NEC model 1234 Video Play button
is button 2 bank A the same as for example NEC model 1234 Video Stop button
Etc.

THanks

1) 5034TX 4 Channel Bank A.
Can it be set to Bank B,C,D ?? (is there a little switch inside ??)
Not without voiding your warranty, there is no user switch inside.
2) 5034TX12 12 Channel Banks A,B,C.
Can it be set to Bank B,C,D,E,F ?? (is there a little switch inside ??)
No
3)Neo 5038TX 8 Channel Banks A,B.
a) I assume these are the same as codes as the 5024TX12 Banks A and B ??
b) Can it be set to Bank CD ?? (is there a little switch inside ??)
a) Yes
b) Not without voiding your warranty, there is no user switch inside. Disassembling the 5038TX remote is almost a destruction job anyway, it will never be the same.
4) Black And White Touch Screen Remote (8 Key) uses ??
Is this Banks A and B or a total new set of of codes ??
B & W C-Touch uses a new/different set of IR Codes to wall plates. This is to allow C-Touch and ordinary wall switches to reside in the same room without the IR Codes confusing each other.
5) Scene Master 5035TX is this the same remote as the Touch Sceen remote ?? Same codes..
Scene Master remote is the same as C-Touch.
6) In old software the multisensor could be set to banks AB,CD,EF,GH. What remotes produces D,E,F,G,H codes if the above dont have a little switch inside to change starting bank.

No remotes that we currently manufacture support the other codes, that is why it was removed from the C-Bus Toolkit UI for that product.
7) I have noticed that the new 1.1 Tool kit that the multi sensor has lost the EF,GH bank options. Is this a bug or did it not work in old version or are there no remotes that can generate these codes.
Removed because there are no remotes that support those IR codes.
I know CIS use the NEC protocol are the codes banks A,B,C,D,E,F,E,G the same as any known NEC piece of equipment ??
The standard C-Bus remotes for wall switches, i.e. the ones with banks, do NOT use the NEC protocol as you suppose. It is very different to NEC and the IR protocol is unique to CIS IR Remotes.

The codes for the Philips Pronto device for banks A, B and C covering remotes 5034TX, 5034TX12 and 5038TX are available here: http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149

The codes from the C-Touch/Scene Master remote can be learned by just about any IR Learn capable remote.

So nothing Produces bank "D" either

so you can can not use bank "CD" on the Neo if you wanted to run two in the same room (only 4 buttons would work) if you used the 5024TX12 3rd bank.

I can not load codes into this remote other than by learning. So it looks like the 5024TX12 is the one to get.

Is there a new clipsal remote on the drawing board that can do banks ABCDEFGH ??

Are you also saying if I was wanting to void the warranty could the 5024TX be modified to produce the the other banks. (ie jumper. solder bridge) (IE not reporgramming some firmwarechip)

You'd basically have to reverse engineer the protocol to get the IR codes, make guesses as to what the others are and then program your own chip and put it in place. Not worth the effort.
