We do not advise using CGate2 in any form of control system at this point in time.

As far as using Toolkit to commission a site, although not yet officially supported it is not as serious a problem if issues arise. It is always possible to revert back to V2 software if you need to.

We have reports of some units not working the same as when programmed with V2 and some combinations of programming not being possible. These are generally minor.

So if you do use Toolkit "on the job" you may find some things just don't work or don't work as you'd expect them to when compared to V2.

As to when the "release" version will be released. My not to helpful answer is "when it's ready". It is very important to Clipsal that the release version be very reliable and as backwards compatiable as possible. We want the transition for users form using V2 (and V2 based software) to Toolkit be seemless and problem free.

This is one of the reasons for the beta. It gives our users a chance to use the software knowing there may be problems (and takign appropriate precautions) and provide the feedbakc we need to make sure the release product meets (exceed) expectations.
