I have noticed in this new version that the Burden is selectable on the PC inteface and the CNI interface when the UNIT ID is not = 1. Is this a new Feature/rule.
Does the same rule apply re saving the Burden. Need to do twice in 20 seconds ??

Hi Charlie,
Version 4 PCI's dont need to observe the "unit address 1" rule for burdens.
The software does the "save twice in 10 seconds" stuff.. user doesnt need to do it anymore.
You're eagle eyed!
The software enabled burden is more trouble than it's worth. I'd rather not have it as an option at all.

I disagree. My network has 44 devices. With out the burden is is very very slow to scan. With 1 burden works great.
Did I miss interperate. Do you prefer the hardware burden that you plug in.
Yes. A hardware burden is the only way to go.
