Hello NZ,
I am currently planning a holiday, in the Aukland area, :) sometime around Feb 05. staying with Friends. Is there anyone in this area that would like to meet up. We are supposed to be visiting friends ( so the wife thinks) but I am looking in search of knowledge, and to swap a installation techniques.
Based in the UK, as a C-Bus intergrator, out in the sticks (bush). I would like to work a few days , and in return, get a feel of how things are done in a different area, (continent)
:o Is this wise?
Is this 'Club Clipsal'?

Fancy coming all the way round the world and not stopping off in Adelaide (the home of C-bus) on the way there or back

If it was up to me Uncle Dick, there would not be a going back.
But 'er indoors is not one for leaving the green green grass of home. (Its only green cos it rains alot.)

When the dimmer channel turns on (Particularly at mid brightness) The step change in Voltage happens at or about the point of max Voltage (~320V peak) on the 240V RMS sine wave, this then causes a rapid rise in the current being 'pulled' through the upstream breaker (Kerchov's law - the current has to come from somewhere) this sudden rise in cirrent flow - the sharp edge - may cause the magnetic coil in the MCB to rattle.
