View Full Version : V3 availability
I am a home user, I installed c-bus myself with the help of a spark. I have found, like most systems that the end user soon exceeds the knowledge base of the installer. when will the new version be available. I have seen from the forum that some users are having the same trouble as me, units not registering when scanned.
I think the forum is a great idea.http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=2#

Hi Phil,
If you're Network Scans are missing units scanning with V2 then V3 won't fix that. Missing units is usually indicative of poor communications on the C-Bus Network. Perhaps you need a burden on the Network or there is some other problem with Comms. Technical Support will be able to help you diagnose or alternatively use the C-Bus Diagnostic Software http://www.clipsal.com/cis/downloads.php3#Diag to see if you have reliable communications.
If not, then check
- burdens
- number of units
- power supplies
- network voltage
- cable length
- clocks
V3 will be available when we're happy with the testing..
Private Message me if you're interested in being part of the Beta Program

Neo units can cause miss-reads when doing a network scan.
I was told this is because the Neo is newer than V2 software capabilities.
This problem has been solved in version 3.
Hope this helps!

There's certainly a couple of small problems with the V2 software and NEO units.. but the only one that might cause scanning issues is if they are adjacent in address to a Scene Controller.. Otherwise V2 and Neo play together reasonably well.
